The Black Jewels Trilogy: Daughter of the Blood/Heir to the Shadows/Queen of the Darkness

A friend loaned it to me and I didn't really understand it until halfway through the first book in the trilogy. Now I still can't believe I'm reading it, but I'm starting to 'get' her world, and I'm really worried about how they're going to get Daemon back from his insanity.
Anyway, dark, disgusting, and oddly amusing, this isn't exactly a must-read but it's definitely titillating. *shaking head* (I still can't believe I'm reading it, but it won't let me stop! Argh!)

Marque and Reprisal came in the mail a couple of weeks ago and I opened the package yesterday because I'd run out of things to read. I reallly recommend Elisabeth Moon; she's fantastic.
